The Challenge: Take historic images of Corpus Christi and surrounding areas and create a digital experience that brings it all to life. The Corpus Christi Landmark Commission wanted to present their listing of landmarks/historical houses online, allowing viewers all over the world to appreciate the history of our town.
The Solution: Design a site that showcases the archived images and stays true to the theme of an archival look and feel. Each photograph is uniquely framed, contrasting well against a muted tan background. A simple left hand navigation guides users through a photogallery section, list of nationally registered landmarks, and a map of locations to each site. A basic but effective Content Manager allows administrators to add more landmarks and change out text on the homepage. We are very proud of the site we created to showcase some of Corpus Christi’s preserved cultural past.
